Chrysanthemums are not generally recognized until they are seen in full bloom at the florists or on the show bench. It is perhaps at the show that one really appreciates these superb blooms. They are without a doubt awe-inspiring, and few people realize that they themselves can grow Chrysanthemums to show bench potential in their own back garden.
Dahlias are an absolutely stunning variety of flower, of all sizes, types, heights and colours. They are grown worldwide. They are planted just after last frost date, and start blooming typically in early July. With a little care in deadheading, they will continue to bloom until the frost kills them. They are very easy to grow, and the stellar blooms make the effort a rewarding one.
